Event: BOLT Student Leadership Program
Date and Location of Event: June 28-July 1, 2026 / Walt Disney World, Orlando FL
In this document, “Agreement” means these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. “Event” refers to all the activities associated with and/or incidental to participation in the Event indicated above, including travel to/from/during the Event (including air travel). The undersigned executing this Agreement is voluntarily participating in the Event and hereby assumes all risks for the undersigned, the undersigned’s child/student participating in this Event, and/or anyone accompanies them or who uses a registration or ticket arranged by the undersigned — including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. The undersigned acknowledges that this Agreement will be used by the holders, sponsors, and organizers of the Event and that it will govern actions and responsibilities at said Event. (The Released Parties for this agreement are listed in the final section.)
I certify that I and/or my child/student is physically fit, has been sufficiently prepared for participation in this Event, and has not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my or my child’s/student’s participation in this Event. I acknowledge that this Event may involve a test of a person’s physical and mental limits. The risks may include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, event officials, event chaperones, and/or producers of the event. These risks are not only inherent to registrants but are also present for facilitators, chaperones, and volunteers.
I acknowledge that participation in this event could create exposure to viruses, illnesses, or other health risks. I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to the disease COVID-19 (as defined by the World Health Organization and any strains, variants, or mutations thereof) and SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that can cause COVID-19) (collectively, “COVID-19”), and any other communicable or infectious disease, exists in any public place where people are present. “Communicable disease” means any disease or illness caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that can be spread, directly or indirectly, from one person to another. “Infectious disease” means any disease or illness caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that enter the body, multiply, and can cause an infection. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious communicable disease that can lead to severe illness and death. No precautions can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and the risk of exposure applies to everyone. I acknowledge that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease includes the risk that I will expose others that I later encounter, even if I am not experiencing or displaying any symptoms of illness myself. By participating in this event, I understand that all attendees agree to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, including illness, injury, or death of myself or others, and including without limitation, all risks based on the sole, joint, active or passive negligence of any of the Released Parties, named below. I acknowledge that health risks may be present and that participation by all attendees and registrants is entirely voluntary. I therefore attest, acknowledge, and agree that I and any individual who uses a ticket or reservation made by me has read these terms, agrees to all its provisions, and fully assumes any and all risks.
I agree that if an attendee begins to have Covid or flu-like symptoms during the event, that the attendee must notify chaperones and event organizers, and may need to refrain from participation so as to not infect any other attendees or venue guests. (COVID rapid-test kits and face masks will also be available if needed or requested.) I also understand and agree that for everyone’s safety, participation in the event requires that attendees adhere to all guidelines and expectations of both the event coordinators and the event venue. I also attest, on behalf of myself, any individual who uses a ticket or registration arranged by me, and any heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns, that all have read these terms and agree to forever waive, covenant not to sue, and hold the Released Parties harmless from and against any and all claims made or incurred by anyone (including by me, my child/student, or any individual who uses a registration or ticket arranged by me), for any reason — including exposure to illness or other health risk, arising out of or in any way relating to participation in this event and/or stay at the venue.
I hereby consent for me and/or my child/student to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity or event. If medical treatment is needed as a result of participation in this activity or event, travel to and from the activity or event (including air travel), or any activity incidental to this event, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I am aware that there is no health insurance coverage associated with this event or activities and that I should carry my own health insurance.
By attending this Event and/or related activities, it is acknowledged that I, my child or student, and/or any individuals who accompany us or use a registration or ticket arranged by me, may be photographed and/or video recorded. I/we consent to any such photo and/or video and agree to allow any photo/video to be used for any purpose without limitation by the event holders, partners, organizers, sponsors, and assigns. I/we agree that Pegasus Springs Education Collective (PSEC) has the right to digitize, post, publish, distribute, or exhibit such photos/videos in any media (for instance, including without limitation, in print, electronic media, newsletters, brochures, website, social media, etc.) for any and all purposes. I/we agree that PSEC shall have the full, exclusive and complete ownership in perpetuity of said material produced pursuant to this release, which shall be deemed the sole property of PSEC. I, my child/student, and/or any individuals who accompany us or use a registration or ticket arranged by me hereby waive any right of inspection or approval for the use of our likeness in any photo/video; understand that I/we have no right or claim to any royalty, payment, or other compensation arising out of or in connection with use of any photo/video; and hereby release, hold harmless, and forever discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, suit, or demands of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with any use hereunder including without limitation any claims of defamation, harm, costs, invasion of privacy, or infringement of moral rights, rights of publicity and/or copyright. It is agreed that this release shall be binding upon me, my child/student, any individuals who accompany us or use a registration/ticket arranged by me, and my/our heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.
I acknowledge that the Released Parties are NOT responsible for lost or stolen personal items while participating in the Event—or any errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of the released parties.
I understand that event organizers reserve the right to exclude an attendee from participation or cancel a registration at any time and for any reason. I understand that in order to participate in this event, all registrants must behave in a way that ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees and must follow the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. I understand also that by registering, participants (and parents/guardians) are indicating understanding and agreement with these BOLT Terms & Conditions and the Walt Disney World Resort’s Terms & Conditions for Theme Park Reservations.
In consideration of this entire agreement, the registration of me and/or my child/student, the attendance of any other accompanying individuals, and/or my permitting attendance/participation in this event — and on behalf of myself, my child/student, any individuals accompanying us and/or using a registration or ticket arranged by me, and on behalf of all heirs, next of kin, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns, I attest our acknowledgement and full agreement with all the provisions in these terms and conditions, and hereby take action as follows:
(A) I HEREBY FOREVER WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE the Released Parties from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for personal injury, disability, illness, health complication, death, property damage, property theft, loss, or actions of any kind which may occur during (including travel to/from the event) or hereafter occur to me, my child/student, or to any other individual using a registration or ticket that has been arranged by me.
(B) I HEREBY INDEMNIFY, PROMISE NOT TO SUE, and HOLD HARMLESS the Released Parties from any and all loss, damage, costs, and liabilities or claims (including for any theft, loss, property damage, personal injury, illness, health complication, disability, or death arising out of or in any way relating to participation in this event or stay at the venue), and made or incurred by anyone (including me, my child/student, or anyone who uses a registration or ticket arranged by me) as a result of attending or participating in this Event. Wherever the activities may occur, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise, and whether suffered before, during, or after participation in the event (including travel to/from/during the event), I agree to hold all released parties harmless from any and all claims, loss or damage to person, personal property, liabilities and costs, including attorney’s fees, as a result of attending or participating in the Event.
Released Parties: The released parties for this agreement are Pegasus Springs Education Collective and partnering organizations — including their respective officers, directors, representatives, employees, contractors, subcontractors, event organizers, coordinators, group leaders, volunteers, sponsors, successors, assigns, insurers, and agents.
This agreement, release, waiver of liability, and the assumption of risk set forth above is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law.
Each registrant’s parent or legal guardian will be provided a copy of this agreement to sign. Parents/guardians must also complete an emergency contact & medical form for each student’s participation.
